StockEdge alternative: how to compare them

By Flock Research · Filings research desk ·

If you are looking for a StockEdge alternative, start by splitting what StockEdge sells into two parts. One is analytics: scans, charts, momentum and fundamental scores. The other is data drawn from public NSE, BSE and SEBI disclosures, such as FII/DII activity, deals and shareholding. On 23 October 2026 StockEdge's pricing page listed three plans, Premium, Pro and Club, at 399, 1,499 and 2,499 rupees a month. The site's footer prints a SEBI Research Analyst registration, INH300007493.

Definition

A StockEdge alternative

is any tool that, like StockEdge, presents Indian market data such as FII/DII flows, bulk and block deals and shareholding patterns. That filings data comes from the same public NSE, BSE and SEBI records, so a substitute is compared on how it sources and dates those records, not on a screen layout. Source: NSE, BSE, SEBI.

What should a StockEdge alternative offer?

Read StockEdge's own pricing page first, so the comparison is with what it actually sells. These are the plans and features as printed on stockedge.com on 23 October 2026.

Is StockEdge a data tool or a research service?

Both, and the difference matters when you compare. StockEdge Fintech Private Limited is registered with SEBI as a Research Analyst (INH300007493, printed in its site footer), and its Club plan sells analyst-led trading and investing ideas and live market query resolution. Its disclaimer says the information is "not for trading purposes or advice" and may be delayed, and that the team may hold positions in some of the stocks shown.

A filings-only tool is a narrower thing. It reports what was disclosed, by whom and when, and stops there. If the part of StockEdge you use is the FII/DII screen or the investor portfolios, the comparison is about the filings, and the research tier is not part of it.

How to compare a StockEdge alternative on its filings data

The disclosures underneath are public, so judge any tool on how it handles them:

What to checkWhy it matters
Is each figure dated with its filing date?Tells you how stale a number is
Does it link to the NSE, BSE or SEBI record?Lets you verify anything you rely on
Freshness by filing typeShareholding is quarterly, deals are daily
Breadth of filings coveredShareholding, bulk and block deals, FII/DII, insider trades
Who disclosed alongside whomSeveral independent filers in the same stock
What the tool is registered asData publisher, research analyst or adviser

The shareholding pattern, bulk and block deals and FII/DII flows explainers set out what each filing contains, so you can check a tool's screen against the source.

How fresh is the data in any StockEdge alternative?

There is no single answer, because each disclosure has its own deadline. A listed company files its shareholding pattern within 21 days of each quarter-end under SEBI LODR Regulation 31(1)(b). Bulk and block deals are disclosed by the exchanges for each trading day. FII/DII figures are published daily. A tool that stamps each figure with its own filing date is easier to check than one that implies everything is live. The shareholding pattern tracker and FII/DII tracker pages go through each cadence.

Flock's FII and DII page shows the FII and DII percentages in each listed stock as filed in its NSE and BSE shareholding pattern, dated and linked to the filing.

Other alternatives people compare

StockEdge is usually weighed against the same handful of Indian research sites. The factual comparisons are in Trendlyne alternative, Tickertape alternative and Screener vs Trendlyne.

Flock reads Indian and US filings, keeps each figure dated and linked to its source, and shows where independent investors overlap. Whichever StockEdge alternative you pick, check the filing date and the source behind each number. What the data means for you is your call to make.
